In the late Middle Ages many villas and castles were erected throughout the Chianti hills by wealthy Florentine and Senese families. A rich family of bankers, the Borromei, who were the treasurers of the Medici family’s fortune, decided to build a villa with a farm in Luiano. Of particular interest is the fact that the Villa was not built on top of the hill where the church is. In agreement with the government of Florence, the villa was placed on the slope of the hill facing north and a watch tower was built in order to keep the Cassia route under observation to monitor possible attacks by the Siena army coming from south towards Florence.
Lui, it is He. A Grand Cru of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Colorino Toscano ultimately balanced. Deep ruby red, his bouquet is intense and complex with notes of blueberry, plum, tobacco and chocolate. His taste is vast and rich.
Lui is the wine you can’t get out of your head. He’s the song of joy. There’s nothing else to say, Lui is Lui.
It’s a bordeaulaise blend revisited according to Tuscan wine culture, obtained by grapes grown in a single vineyard processed at controlled temperature under soft pressure, then refined for 24 months in French oak
Deep Ruby Red.
Red Berries, Plums, Choccolate,
Coffee and Vanilla Beans.
Rich, Intense and deeply fruity.
